This past weekend was one of CELEBRATIONS...
One near, one far...
One little...
One grown...

BOTH LOVED...

My little GB Riggins

TURNED THREE!

I can hardly believe it!!!
His little life has overjoyed us with his smile,
his tenacity and his "SQUEEZES"...
Every time I hear him say Gigi...
I MELT I tell YOU!

Take a look for yourself...

Happy Birthday My SWEET GB...
your GIGI LOVES YOU!!!

and then...

THE VERY NEXT DAY...
in IOWA...
(funny story here...I have a daughter in Ohio..
and I keep telling people the wrong state when I tell them
where either of these two live!!! I had to change it
just NOW too...my son texted me and said
IOWA!!! ...
There you go sweet son of mine.... IOWA!)

MY BABY...
had a Birthday!

All grown, with a sweet wife and family of his own,
This man is one of the best Daddys I know.
 Handsome Son...
and my first born.
He is LOVED by his Mama.

Two GREAT reasons to
CELEBRATE...

Snow, Showers and Realizations...

What a wonderful weekend we had with our Son David and His Ashley...
We realized a few things on this trip...

That as you can see, there was SNOW around everywhere... YAY!

That on our little tour of Solon Iowa
we saw some of the prettiest little homes
this side of Heaven I am sure...

That even the deer LOVE SNOW...
as clearly evident by the "Buck Angel" pictured above.

That my beloved son...actually can walk on water.
FROZEN water that is...hehehe

That you can spell your husband's name out in the snow....
if you really focus and run in cursive.
(love that Mr. Bill you know...)

That there's a sweet little room filled with goodies for
a new GB on the way...

That memories can be recorded on a baby's onesie and not leave a stain...

That no less than FIVE generations (counting the baby)
can be photographed together without using Photoshop..
(Gigi, Great-Great Grandmama - 97 yrs very young, Mama, Grandmama, Great-Grandmama)

That I love my son more than words could ever be spoken or written...

That sitting on the airplane to come home brings a few
life-changing realizations...

Because you see, just as I whispered with tears in my eyes
and a choking my voice in my son's ear when I hugged him goodbye...

"the next time I see you David...
You will be a Daddy".

For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD.
"They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

There's room at our Inn...

Around Thanksgiving this year, our neighbors began asking if one of our
two bunnies had gotten out and was lost...
We would tell them no, and they would tell us that a little bunny
was visiting our front yard every morning...
So...we had been on the look out...

This weekend, while we were out of town, one of my neighbors
was able to coax this little baby (above) into their garage and then
they promptly texted me!!!

I am SO THRILLED that she survived being out for SO LONG!
She has a darling personality and you can tell, she was a pet.
She is so affectionate and so happy to be around those other
two bunnies that she could smell in our yard.

Little Cotton Patch

Little Cotton and Momie are a little cautious right now, as they should be...
I am not really letting her close to them until she gets a clean bill of health from
our vet... *fingers crossed*

Miss Momie

Well, she has a forever home now! What a great gift to know that the new
little one will never be out in the cold ever again..
for there really is room for her at our Bunny Inn.

Now...what should her name be...
The floor is open to suggestions....

I hope you are all enjoying your countdown to Christmas
as much as we are!

Merry Christmas!
