Hoppy Friday - Fellowship of the Flowers!
Woo hoo! Fellowship of the Flowers signup starts now! I have been planning and working on this since August and have been soooooooooooo excited to share it with you! I'm about to pop! :)

So, here is a review of what Fellowship of the Flowers is all about.

·       Companionship: We will be stitching companions for 50 weeks. Every Wednesday starting   January 1, 2014 until December 17, 2014 you are invited to visit my blog for inspiring ideas on stitching your flowers.
·       A mutual sharing: We will share photos of our completed flowers and projects on Pinterest, Flickr and Facebook .
·       A group of people with the same interests: We will explore the world of Folk Art Fusion® and art quilting together. Not only will I teach you how to make the flowers, you will receive complete instructions for 12 projects using the flowers. Project instructions will be emailed to you the last Wednesday of the month.

·       An endowment for the support of a student or scholar doing advanced work: Your fellowship fee of $35 entitles you to 50 weeks of inspiration and learning. Upon joining, you will receive 5 flower patterns, a bonus bee pattern and instructions on layering the pieces. In addition every month for 12 months, you will receive a project using combinations of the 5 flower patterns and the bonus bee pattern. You are invited to share your finished projects, ask questions and be part of a worldwide group of friends. Your fellowship fee, which basically amounts to .70¢ a week, allows me not only to continue designing Folk Art Fusion® projects for your enjoyment, but it also allows me to support rabbit rescues around the USA in addition to supporting my family. For this the bunnies and I send our heartfelt thanks.

The first flower will make its debut here next Wednesday, January 1st. There will be a separate page here on the blog where I will keep all the flowers for the entire year so you can look at them any time you want. I will also list links to groups where you can post your flowers and share your artistry with other friends in the fellowship. Grab the button from my sidebar and pass the word!

So, are you ready to have some fun together in 2014?

Then sign up in my Craftsy Shop. :)

There's more! I'm so excited about the Fellowship of the Flowers wool felt kits! Each kit will contain all the wool felt needed to make the flowers in addition to the polka dot fabric for the bee's wings. But, it will ALSO contain 50 precut 6" Hexagons!! Woo hoo, one less step to do. Simply add your flower on top and get to stitchin! :)

The KITS are available in my SHOP and as an extra way to say thank you for joining me and the bunnies on this adventure, the first 20 people to purchase the wool kit will receive a FREE kit (shown above) to make the flower in Fellowship logo! Fun!

Lastly, there will be pearl cotton thread kits available as soon as the US Customs office decides to release them. They have been sitting there for weeks and I can't get anyone at the USPS to help me. Poo! So in the meantime, you can purchase my Valdani 3 strand Folk Art Fusion floss collection. The colors in this collection and the pearl cotton collection are the same. You can also use whatever threads you may already have.

Friends are flowers in the garden of life. Thank you for joining us and for all your love and support. The bunnies and I are truly looking forward to spending an artful, creative and inspiring year with you. :)

xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

Pondering Christmas now past...

Christmas has now passed and yet, the fun still lingers...
thoughts drifting back to the day's events...

Little GB's having fun with new presents from Gigi and Papa...

and the flurry of fun they brought... I am still saying to myself...
Poor Elmo...*giggle*

The cute little gifts given to us...
Little Riggins feet above made the perfect gift!

and this gift...Just one of 18 photos in my new Holdyn Calendar...

The dinner out on Christmas Eve...

And the cooking apron donned on Christmas Day...

all led to the end of a wonderful day of quiet hand stitching...

with a couple of sleepy little buns...

and some really cute photos to remember the day...

For we shall not pass this way again,
the day has come and gone...
and only in our memories
will these precious days live on...

From our family to yours,
I hope you all had a wonderful and joy filled Christmas ...

There's room at our Inn...

Around Thanksgiving this year, our neighbors began asking if one of our
two bunnies had gotten out and was lost...
We would tell them no, and they would tell us that a little bunny
was visiting our front yard every morning...
So...we had been on the look out...

This weekend, while we were out of town, one of my neighbors
was able to coax this little baby (above) into their garage and then
they promptly texted me!!!

I am SO THRILLED that she survived being out for SO LONG!
She has a darling personality and you can tell, she was a pet.
She is so affectionate and so happy to be around those other
two bunnies that she could smell in our yard.

Little Cotton Patch

Little Cotton and Momie are a little cautious right now, as they should be...
I am not really letting her close to them until she gets a clean bill of health from
our vet... *fingers crossed*

Miss Momie

Well, she has a forever home now! What a great gift to know that the new
little one will never be out in the cold ever again..
for there really is room for her at our Bunny Inn.

Now...what should her name be...
The floor is open to suggestions....

I hope you are all enjoying your countdown to Christmas
as much as we are!

Merry Christmas!

A Passage of time...

Today marks this little guy's 2nd Birthday...
Boy! the time has flown by.
As his Gigi, I can tell you...
I completely love this little boy.
He had my heart strings from the first moment I met him.

He has been a true gift from the Lord...
So if you don't mind, I wanted to share him with you...
Today...on his big boy day...
I know you other Gigi's and Mamas out there
will understand...

Something happens when a new life enters a family...

Your perspective changes about EVERYTHING...
You no longer care if the kitchen sink is clear of dishes if
it means you can't stop and play with a little one.

It just doesn't seem important to be so busy that you miss
little moments like these...

Simple things become BIG EVENTS...
and even in these moments...

your heart melts, yet again...
and you don't mind the tears...

You want to comfort and love them to their core.

For you know...that this time comes and goes so quickly.
There is no greater joy this side of Heaven to me...
than being a Gigi.

Happy Birthday Little Holdyn...
I hope you always know that you are so loved...

For The Boys! Day SIX...and I am UP!

First of all, I wanted to say a HUGE Thank you
to Madame Samm over at SEW WE QUILT
and the For The Boys Cheerleader,
Little Miss AMY from
for this wonderful little hop!
I have loved looking at everyone's
creations!!!

I have two little grandsons and another one on the way...
all that I adore...so this is the perfect little hop for me!

My little GB Holdyn inspired a couple of these,
and with his birthday coming up the day before
Thanksgiving, I wanted to put together some things just
for him...

His first love, AFTER HIS GIGI (of course)
is
AIRPLANES!
So i thought, what better thing to put out
here on the Runway...
but his OWN PERSONAL
AIRPLANE...

I made it soft and fun and just the right size for his little hands...
I used a button for the propeller...and it is tacked on really tight!
I added a windows...and a tail fin...
His favorite colors are blue, red and apple green!
I can't wait to give it to him!

It was a super simple drawing, then cut out of two favorite fabrics...
just a little handsewing...and TADA!
Holdyn's OWN Airliner!

My next little project was for Mr. Holdyn too, as he recently
moved into a new home...
He loves to have pillows to lay on the floor,
and he loves ANYTHING soft...

So...I made this oversized pillow and blanket for him..

Then there was this little boy's quilt I finished earlier this month...

I just loved the colors in this...

and finally...
I was given some old baby blankets to re-purpose
for the next generation...
I didn't want to ruin the original blankets..
so I just added batting and new facings...

I thought they turned out soft and scrumptious...

And...well, that's all for me...

BUT PLEASE CHECK OUT THESE!!!
They are such a TREAT!!!

A Cake Walk Finish!

Such a joy to get the opportunity to make a quilt for someone...
especially something that you hope will be with them for some time to come...

This one...as they are all, will be missed...
But hopefully really loved in it's new home...

That's my finish this week...anyone else have one to share?

It's a Cake Walk...

It's rare that I get an ENTIRE weekend to sew...
But I did this past weekend!

I started a new baby quilt and I must say, it was sooo easy-peasy!
It's a pattern from a book called Fast Fat Quarter Quilts, and the pattern
is called
Cocoa Cakewalk...

I just changed to the colors I wanted
and here is my offering for today...

I will quilt and bind it tonight, so check back or watch on Instagram for the
finished quilt!

Happy Monday All!!!

A few years back...3 maybe?

A little over 3 years ago, our little quilt shop grew up. We moved to a larger space and hired more employees. So much has happened in thos...
