I was up until 3 a.m.!

Clean-up on Isle 7...

It seems that my studio is in desperate need of a clean up...anyone wanna come help?
My mama always used to say, you have to make a mess to clean a mess...
 (sigh* - thanks mama...)
So here goes...

JOB UPDATE!!!!

For those of you out there that have sent your prayers and good wishes our way...just wanted to update you... My sweet man Bill had a great interview yesterday and has been called back for a SECOND interview coming up this week!
He also got a call today to head to Lousiana to work on a job (He has his own Valve repair business) for the next couple of days!
Isn't God GOOD! He always manages to stand in the gap for us...AMAZING GOD!
Keep the prayers coming!
(p.s.  Honey...you ARE a CUTIE for sure!!!)

Yesterday I got this text from my husband...just about an hour after he went to work at his new job.

"Well, I am heading home to you..."

and the second text was -

"I am unemployed again".

I took a deep breath and started dialing the phone.

The meat of this story is that my sweet husband has NEVER lost a job. (His boss didn't offer any reason either as to why he was letting him go...)




In fact, quite the contrary. He has been his own boss for the past 2 years running his own business and very successfully. A dream come true for him...

Before that, he had only worked for two companies his ENTIRE life --both with long tenures.

Why did he leave his own company, you ask?
Insurance.

The insurance from my job --  to cover just me, him and two of our children was going to over $18K a year.

So, he put his hat out there again, got a job, and went to work and once again, provided...even though it cost him.

I know there are those of you out there struggling with the same things.
I don't pretend that we are special...
but man, this stinks.

I am not blaming the economy, the government, the times...

My heart is just trying to think of ways to encourage my man.

I have never known a man like him. He is a tremendous steward of everything.

Our ENTIRE family...

Jobs around the house.

I mean seriously! He is building a ranch house for us for our retirement - with his own hands. His own tools. His own brain. Without contractors.

And dear to my heart...

He is the best fisherman I have ever known....and he lets me tag along.

Lord, if you are listening and I know you are...

Hug Bill a little longer today.

Amen.

Ok...New September Block!

My September partner wanted something with brown and pink...any design...
So I made this and it will go out tomorrow! I couldn't help adding a little "Texas" flare to it with the pink barbed wire fabric! Us Cowgirls gotta stick together!

I recently joined a block swap group and WOW! HOW FUN!

Today I went out to my mailbox and look what was in it? This is from Vicky in Florida! I love the fabric that she picked out and the colors are perfect! I can't wait to send and receive all my others! Vicky, if you are reading this...you done good girl!
