    I love the modern fabrics best, I think. I use a lot of basics, too, though. Actually, I also use some of the 40's repros, but it all depends on my project. If making something new, I will go to moderns first!

Even though I started quilting in the '80s, my heart has been drawn to art quilts (which didn't really exist back then). As the industry and the craft have evolved, I've been very excited to see all the changes. Now that I've learned about Aurifil thread, I've started my collection, and I adore the modern fabrics. Recently I made my daughter a set of kitchen things--towels and a mixer cover--using Riley Blake fabrics to coordinate with her turquoise Fiesta Ware. Soooo cute! Congrats to you, and thanks for this opportunity!

  31. I liked and subscribed. I like a good mix of basics and print collections. But what I really like are prints that read as a solid so you get the texture without adding colors that might not already be represented in your quilt.
