For Little Holdyn...

Tonight I worked on a little baby quilt
for my grand baby...
He will make his arrival sometime in November...

She picked the fabric, and not wanting
to disturb the cute animals on the front...

My only two chances to put my mark on it
would be either in the binding or
on the back...

 So, the binding was easy...

and then I thought, why not put his name on the back...

Sew...I cut out the letters of his name...
H-O-L-D-Y-N

Found some thread that would match...

Ironed on the letters

and did a little simple stitch around each one.

This is only one of many I will make for him,

and that will keep me busy until he arrives!

Hugs,
Lana

  2. Lovely quilt! I hope you have more decisive family members than I do.
Daisy did not look like a Daisy when she was born, cue an awful lot of unpicking of an applique name and flower, grrrr!!!!

  3. Beautiful quilt!!! My mother made each of my three children a baby quilt while I was pregnant with them, and I cherish those quilts still. They are hanging on a quilt rack in my bedroom. Holdyn is one lucky little guy already! Best wishes for his arrival!
