Hello my little Birdies...
I am so happy you have joined us today!!!!
THANK YOU Madame Samm for ALL your SUPPORT
and for choosing these LOVELY fabrics!!!
I am so in LOVE with these!!!!
When Tracy Lizotte designed this line for
Elizabeth's Studio...she created pure beauty....
Shall we take flight?
I wanted to create something a little different with the bird panels...
So, I decided to give myself "snapshots" from my "eye camera"
of this fabric...
I cut out the panels, attached them matching the background
fabric as best I could...which was pretty easy...
and then free-motioned quilted all around the leaves and
tree branches...then quilted little tiny meandering stitches
in the sky background...
I had fun doing it...but boy did it take a LONG time!!!
This made a gorgeously large pillow for my bench in my kitchen...
And do you see my little wall quilt?
I think it looks a bit like Snow birds
and a bit like Spring... Those pinwheels
made it look very wintery from this distance...
Finally, I really wanted to showcase those beautiful
little birdie houses...
and although the ticking fabric isn't part of her line...
I just loved that it gave those little
houses just the right contrast...
You can really see her art work and I loved
how this one turned out...
I am calling this one bird houses under glass...
look close and you will see the glass quilted
around the bird houses and the
buttons are the handles on the glass...
