You might find a theme here...

I found this cute fabric at my favorite quilt shop
 in Salado TX at
Christmas this year...
If you are ever in Salado...
Go see the girls over at
They will love you to pieces when you visit!

and finally...

My last little Muggie Rug...
I made this one for a friend of mine
at my new job...

Funny story, but I replaced her when she left my last job...
and here we are again working together...

And you have heard about how Southerners drink
LOTS OF SWEET TEA?
Nope.
TEXANS drink the BEST SWEET TEA!
and this little girl is a LEADER...
so...the Tea Mug Rug was
SEW APPROPRIATE!

I will put you in a drawing for a SWEET GIVEAWAY!!!!

At the End of the Day...

In the evenings,
when I get home from work...
Only after I kiss my man,

I settle in here.

My favorite room of the house.
You have a place too, I bet.

A place to hide out for a few moments...

and find some color at the end of a long day.

A simple pattern,
beautiful designs...

A cheerful "table" quilt
 for our ranch house...
waiting to be bound
and carried to a new home
 in the
Hill Country.

Until then though,

In this room of mine,
at the end of this day...

I snuggle
 into the
moment
and
 just

breathe.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord
plans to prosper you and not to harm you
plans to give you hope and a future.
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me,
and I will listen to you
You will seek me
 and find me
 when you seek me
 with all your heart."

Welcome little birdies....to the Bird Tree Blog Hop!!!!

Hello my little Birdies...
I am so happy you have joined us today!!!!
THANK YOU Madame Samm for ALL your SUPPORT
and for choosing these LOVELY fabrics!!!
I am so in LOVE with these!!!!
When Tracy Lizotte designed this line for
Elizabeth's Studio...she created pure beauty....

Shall we take flight?

I wanted to create something a little different with the bird panels...
So, I decided to give myself "snapshots" from my "eye camera"
of this fabric...
I cut out the panels, attached them matching the background
fabric as best I could...which was pretty easy...
and then free-motioned quilted all around the leaves and
tree branches...then quilted little tiny meandering stitches
in the sky background...

I had fun doing it...but boy did it take a LONG time!!!

This made a gorgeously large pillow for my bench in my kitchen...

And do you see my little wall quilt?
I think it looks a bit like Snow birds
and a bit like Spring... Those pinwheels
made it look very wintery from this distance...

Finally, I really wanted to showcase those beautiful
little birdie houses...
and although the ticking fabric isn't part of her line...
I just loved that it gave those little
houses just the right contrast...
You can really see her art work and I loved
how this one turned out...
I am calling this one bird houses under glass...
look close and you will see the glass quilted
around the bird houses and the
buttons are the handles on the glass...

A few years back...3 maybe?

A little over 3 years ago, our little quilt shop grew up. We moved to a larger space and hired more employees. So much has happened in thos...
