Figuring it all out as I go...

Ever have the feeling that you really don't know EVERYTHING?
yep...I am signing up for that one!
It's confusing when my brain sees one thing...
and my eyes see something else!

All these 60 degree angles are killing me!!!!
But I am moving right along...

I will need some help here though..

My DD wanted a softer batting -
and I currently use a low batting
that is all natual cotton.
Her goal is to have a softer, puffy batting
for her soon-to-be baby boy.
Any suggestions on what I should buy?

Oh, and remember the brain / eye thing
and have mercy on me...
You might want to send me a link of the batting
 or at least a picture...LOL!

  3. It's going to gorgeous!! I'm like you and use only a cotton batting. I know a lot of people use an 80% cotton 20% polyester batting that is lighter and softer.

  4. I used 80% cotton 20% poly for my daughter's quilt. It was very fluffy. More like a comforter.

  5. I often use a bamboo batting and it has a very silky feel, is non-allergenic, and safe for a baby. I don't know if you can find it in a medium loft or not, but that would give the puffier look. Of course, polyester batting gives that 70's puffy look, but I don't like using it for children. If it gets near a flame, it will burn and melt which is really a bad thing!

  7. You may be having trouble with the 60 degree angles, but the results are stunning. This is a reallly beautiful quilt. I have had a request to make a quilt with a higher loft recently as well. I think she wants that polyester 70s look. I really don't like using polyester. I use warm and natural. It is a low loft, but it is very warm and cuddly.
